Following the news of Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya’s engagement, a vintage video of the actress from her early beauty pageant days has reemerged on Reddit. The clip shows Sobhita answering a question from actress Asin Thottumkal, who was among the judges at the event.

During the Miss India Pageant, Asin posed a question to Sobhita, asking, “As an independent young woman of today, do you believe the state government or colleges have the authority to enforce a dress code and dictate what you can and cannot wear? What is your take on this?” Sobhita, with a confident smile, replied, “I don’t think colleges or the state government have the right to impose dress code restrictions because a lack of moral policy cannot be compensated by implementing unreasonable rules that only infringe upon freedom.”
Sobhita had previously spoken about her pageant experience in an interview with PTI, sharing how it was her friend’s idea for her to audition for Miss India. She initially just wanted to pass the first round to prove a point to her friends, but as she advanced, she started craving more attention, despite feeling awkward and out of place. Sobhita admitted that participating in Miss India damaged her self-esteem because she felt reduced to someone merely there for entertainment.
The engagement between Sobhita Dhulipala and Naga Chaitanya took place at Nagarjuna’s residence in Hyderabad, with Nagarjuna announcing the happy news on X (formerly Twitter). He shared photos of the couple, expressing his joy and welcoming Sobhita into the family, wishing them a lifetime of love and happiness.
As for Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s ex-husband Naga Chaitanya, the actor got engaged to Sobhita Dhulipala on Thursday after a few years of dating. The ceremony was private and was held at Naga Chaitanya’s home.
